Print books

Yes, sometimes you'll want "old-fashioned" print books! The internet has not yet made them obsolete! Here's how to get to them!

Print Books in the Lee College Library: Catalog searching

You have 2 ways to start searching the catalog:

  1. Start at the library's web sitetext annotation indicator.
  2. There's a search box for the catalogtext annotation indicator at the top of every page in the library's web site. You can start your search there, or
  3. Under the "Research tools" heading, the first link is to the Library Catalog.text annotation indicator
  4. Either way you start, this will get you to the catalog where you can look for books (and many other items) on your topic
  5. Better search results from:
    1. Phrase searching
    2. Browsing titles or authors
    3. Combining search terms

Print Books NOT in the Lee College Library

  1. Start at the Library's web site.
  2. Under "Research Tools" click "Articles & eResources"text annotation indicator (even though you want print books)
  3. Click Wtext annotation indicator and scroll down to WorldCat.
  4. Click on the "WorldCattext annotation indicator" link.
  5. Search for books on your topic from libraries around the world.
  6. Find something that interests you? If you have a couple of weeks before you need the book, the Library can get it from another library for you.
    1. Click on the title
    2. Click on the "borrow this item from another librarytext annotation indicator" link
    3. Fill out the formtext annotation indicator
    4. Click "submit"
    5. The library will contact you when the book arrives.
